Our entire staff is highly trained and dedicated to providing a superior level of orthodontic treatment. Our clinical staff is certified by the State of Georgia to perform expanded duties. We follow the procedures recommended by the American Dental Association for sterilization and infection control assuring your health and safety.

Phyllis is a Certified Dental Assistant and has worked in orthodontics since 1977, five of those years for an orthodontic lab. She joined Dr. Starling’s staff in 2004. She is a native Georgian and has been married since 1977. She and her husband, John, have two daughters, Erin and Dana. With Erin recently married and Dana away at college, Phyllis and John are new empty nesters. Phyllis’ interests are playing tennis, walking, reading and playing bridge.

Kathy has been a Certified Orthodontic Assistant since 1982 and joined Dr. Starling’s staff in 2000. She is a native Georgian and grew up in Lithonia. She and her husband, Chris, have two children, Gavin and Hadley. Her interests are playing violin, cake decorating, riding jet skis and dirt bikes. Kathy is also involved in her children’s school and is currently the secretary of the PTA.

Claire is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant. She has been an Orthodontic Assistant since 1985 and has been with Dr. Starling since he opened his practice. She and her husband are both from the East Coast. Claire is a native of Maine. She and her husband, Bob, have seven children between them. Claire enjoys gardening, walking on warm beaches and spending time with friends.

Cay is the Treatment Coordinator at Dr. Starling’s office. She has worked in the orthodontic field since 1974 and been a member of Dr. Starling’s staff since 1992. Cay is a native Georgian. She and her husband, Alan, have three children and three grandchildren. In her free time, Cay is active in her church and enjoys walking, reading and shopping for shoes.

Angela completed the Dental Assistant program at Gwinnett Technical College. She has been a Certified Orthodontic Assistant since 1991. Angela is a native Georgian. She has been married since 1995. She and her husband, Chad, have two sons, Brady and Blaine. Angela enjoys going to the beach, entertaining and cooking for a crowd.

Amy is the Public Relations Coordinator for Dr. Starling’s practice. She joined Dr. Starling’s staff in 2001. She previously worked for 10 years as the Manager of Dental Services at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. She and her husband, David, have three children, William, Elizabeth and Benjamin. Amy and her husband are involved in school and church activities. In her free time, Amy enjoys cooking, traveling and boating.

Nancy is the Financial Coordinator at Dr. Starling’s office. Before joining Dr. Starling’s staff, Nancy worked for nine years as a business office coordinator for a general dentist. Originally from Maine, she lived in Florida, California and Colorado before settling in Georgia. Nancy and husband, Paul have one son Brandon and Paul’s older children are Evan and Jessica. Nancy enjoys cooking for family and friends, spending time outside reading and working in the garden.
